How to hire a hat or fascinator from “Gorgeous & Glorious”

  1. Choose the Hat or Fascinator that you would like to hire.
  2. Complete the online enquiry form, stating clearly which hat you require and the date of your special event. Complete all fields in the enquiry form providing your full name, address, contact phone numbers and email address. Please indicate whether you will be paying the hire charge by PayPal, Cheque or cash. Please also indicate whether you will be collecting the hat from our premises in Maidenhead, Berkshire or whether you require it to be posted. (please note that not all hats and fascinators are suitable for posting due to the delicacy and size of some of the trimmings – we do our best however)
  3. Within 24 hours of receiving the enquiry form “Gorgeous & Glorious” will advise you if the item you require is available for your chosen date. Payment details for the hire charge will be sent to you via email.
  4. Pay the Hire charge in full, either by PayPal, Cheque or cash, this ensures that the hat/fascinator is reserved for you exclusively on the required date. Once you have made your hire charge payment nobody else can book the hat on this date. It is recommended that you make this payment as quickly as possible to ensure your booking.
  5. Collect the Hat or Fascinator on the agreed day, usually up to three days before it is required (Ascot week being the most notable exception). We ask for a refundable deposit upon collection. The deposit required is equal to the hire charge.
  6. If you require the hat to be posted to you then the refundable deposit will need to be paid prior to posting. An appropriate post and packing charge will be applied for post by Special Insured Delivery which is guaranteed to arrive the next day.
  7. Wear and enjoy your hat for your special event.
  8. Return the Hat or Fascinator in the hat box and packaging provided within 48hrs of your event (again Ascot week may be an exception to this rule). Provided there is no damage, your deposit will be returned to you in full. If you have received the hat by post, inside the box you will find a “returns kit” containing a large black plastic covering to wrap around the box and a return address label. All you will need to provide is some parcel tape to secure the package. The hat must then be returned by Royal Mail Insured Special Delivery (paid for by the client). Special delivery ensures that the hat is insured by Royal Mail whilst in transit.
  9. In the event that the hat is not returned to Gorgeous & Glorious then the full retail price/value of the hat will be charged to the client.
  10. A local delivery and collection service is available at certain times, please enquire.


Terms & Conditions of Hire

The conditions of hire from “Gorgeous & Glorious” are as follows:-

  1. The hat/fascinator will remain the property of “Gorgeous & Glorious” at all times.
  2. The full hire fee is payable at time of booking/reserving the hat.
  3. A security deposit equal to the hire fee is payable on collection of the hat. This will be returned in full on safe receipt of the hat in the condition in which it was originally hired.
  4. “Gorgeous & Glorious” reserve the right to retain the security deposit if the hat/fascinator is returned damaged or marked in any way, this includes make-up stains, rain damage and dents.
  5. The period of hire is “per occasion”. The hire period is typically for 3-4 days over a weekend. Longer periods may be arranged for an additional fee. This is flexible according to availability.
  6. Cancellation Policy

The full hire fee minus a £10 administration fee will be refunded for cancellations made six weeks before the hire day. The full hire fee will be retained for cancellations made less than six weeks before the hire date.
